Why Targhee Sheep?
The Targhee ewe was developed back in 1926 by the US Sheep Experiment Station in Dubois, Idaho and are named after the Targhee National Forest. They are a composite breed consisting of Rambouillet, Corriedale and Lincoln blood lines with the heaviest percentage comprised of Rambouillet.
Fast forward to today and the Targhee breed has established its reputation as the most data driven, profit focused, maternally oriented, fine wool sheep breed in the country.
